Maurizio's garlic grater is the one that always stays on the kitchen counter. Not in a drawer: right there, within reach, next to the cutting board and the stove.
The terracotta surface has just the right roughness to grate fresh garlic without effort. It doesn't stain, doesn't hold onto flavors, and washes clean in a moment. Terracotta is the right material for something that touches food every day.
Handmade by Maurizio in Altomonte. The shape is simple and steady, made so it won't slip while you work. The small variations on the surface are the mark of something made by hand.
It's used for garlic, for nuts, for ginger. For anything you want to reduce to a fine paste, without a knife.
A small object you miss when it's not there.
Handmade Garlic Grater

Beauty and goodness to bring to the table.
