It's filled with warm milk, with caffellatte, with barley coffee. Terracotta keeps the temperature longer than any other ceramic: the milk inside doesn't cool right away, the coffee stays warm while you eat. It's not a small thing: it's what changes breakfast.
 
 
 
This one is handmade by Maurizio in Altomonte, on the pedal wheel. The shape is simple, generous. The small irregularities on the rim, the glaze with its variations: these are the marks of something made without hurry and without molds.
 
 
 
It's used every morning. For the slow breakfast, the one with no countdown.
