The 3-litre tin of our “Classico” Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the perfect middle ground: big enough for people who cook often, yet still easy to handle in the kitchen every day. It's for those who want consistent quality without giving up convenience.
It comes from the olive groves of Altomonte and the surrounding area, in the heart of Calabria, where growing olives is part of daily life, not just farming. Here the trees follow the natural rhythm of the seasons, and the harvest takes place in November, when the olives reach the right balance between ripeness and aromatic intensity.
Our oil is based on the Tondina cultivar (90%), a local variety that gives it delicacy and balance. The remaining 10% is made up of other local cultivars that round out its aromatic profile and strengthen its bond with Calabrian tradition.
The olives come from groves farmed with traditional methods, respecting nature and the land, without invasive chemical treatments. A choice born of respect for the land and a wish to keep the fruit's authentic character intact.
The result is a lightly fruity extra virgin olive oil, with a pleasant harmony of sweetness, a gentle bitter note and a delicate peppery finish. A balanced profile that makes it extremely versatile in the kitchen.
The 3-litre tin is ideal if you want a balance between convenience and a good supply. The tin protects the oil from light and preserves its qualities over time, keeping it fresh and flavourful down to the last drop.
Perfect for everyday use: raw on salads, vegetables, pulses and bread, and in cooking for soffritto, sauces, oven dishes and frying. It adapts to everything, never covering flavours but accompanying them with balance.
Inside every 3-litre tin is authentic Calabria: its countryside, its families and traditions handed down over time. An honest oil, made for everyday cooking.
At Braalla we chose it because it represents our idea of a genuine product: simple, honest and deeply tied to its land.
