Two handmade terracotta containers: one for oil, one for vinegar. The shape follows the traditional Calabrian oil cruet, round bellied with a precise spout. Together they form a piece for the table, not just for the kitchen.
 

 
In Calabria, oil was dressed at the table, not in the pot. On bread, on salad, on bruschetta fresh out of the oven. Having it within reach, in a container worth looking at, was part of the gesture. It still is.
 

 
Each piece is made by hand by Maurizio in Altomonte. The small differences between the two pieces in the set are natural: the same hands, the same material, but never identical.
