This cup is made by Maurizio in Altomonte, using clay and a foot-powered wheel. Every decoration is hand-painted before firing. No two pieces are alike: each cup is a one-of-a-kind piece, made in limited quantity.
 

 
Altomonte is an inland town in the province of Cosenza, among the mountains of Calabria. It has a long history, a historic center overlooking the valley, and a tradition of ceramics that Maurizio has carried forward for years in his workshop. The decorations on the Limited Edition cups come from there: coats of arms, local symbols, details born from that history and that land.
 

 
The clay has a precise color and texture. Firing takes place in the workshop's own kiln. The result is a cup with a weight in your hand unlike any other: substantial, warm, present.
 

 
Use it for coffee, for tea, for breakfast. Or simply keep it as it is, because it's a beautiful piece to look at. An object that comes from a specific place. And you can tell.
