A Vrusceddra - 'Nduja and Sun-Dried Tomato Pâté

Braalla's A Vrusceddra (its name in Calabrian dialect) comes from Spilinga, where 'nduja (a soft, spicy spreadable salami) has been at home for centuries. This time, though, it's not just 'nduja: it's a pâté that brings together the bold heat of traditional 'nduja, sun-dried tomatoes and hot Calabrian pepper pulp. The result is a spread you won't forget in a hurry.

To any Calabrian, the name says it all. For everyone else, just open the jar.

100% Italian ingredients, gluten-free. Ready to use, nothing else needed.

How to use it

Spread on warm bruschetta, it's a complete starter on its own. As a pizza base, it gives a kick no ordinary sauce can match. Excellent in sandwiches and as a dressing for creative dishes – it adds character to anything that usually lacks it.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place away from light and heat. Once opened, cover with a drizzle of oil and keep refrigerated. Consume within 2–3 weeks.

Ingredients

'Nduja 40% (pork fat, pork, chilli, salt), sun-dried tomatoes 33%, sunflower oil, hot Calabrian pepper pulp 22%, acidity regulator: acetic acid, preservative: potassium sorbate.
