400g jar of chestnut honey
Ingredients:
100% chestnut honey

Chestnut honey is a dark, robust and aromatic honey made by bees that feed mainly on the nectar of chestnut flowers. It's known for its intense, rich and lingering flavour, with bitter and woody notes.

The bees gather nectar from the chestnut flowers and carry it back to the hive, where it's turned into honey. Enzymes in the bees' saliva break down the sugars in the nectar, and as the water evaporates the honey becomes thicker and more concentrated. Once it reaches the right consistency, the bees seal it into the honeycomb cells with wax.

It can be thicker than other honeys, which makes it ideal for spreading on bread or using in recipes.

Chestnut honey can be enjoyed on its own, added to hot drinks or used in cooking to sweeten recipes, make sauces or marinades, and even to accompany cheese and meat. Its versatility and distinctive flavour make it a favourite with honey lovers and gourmet chefs alike.
