The little flower you see on this bowl was placed there by Maurizio. By hand, before the terracotta was fired. A small, precise gesture, repeated every time a bowl comes out of his workshop in Altomonte.
 

 
It isn't an industrial decoration. It's a mark. It's how Maurizio signs the piece, gives it a face, makes it recognizable among a hundred others. Every little flower is slightly different from the next: same hand, same gesture, but unique every time.
 

 
This bowl is made to sit on the table: for olives, for dried figs, for fruit, for sweets. For anything served in one simple piece, without fuss. Terracotta keeps it cool in summer, longer than any other material.
