The little flower you see on this bowl was put there by Maurizio. By hand, before the terracotta was fired. A small, precise gesture, repeated every time a bowl leaves his workshop in Altomonte.
It's not an industrial decoration. It's a mark – the way Maurizio signs the piece, gives it a face, makes it recognisable among a hundred others. Every little flower is slightly different: the same hand, the same gesture, but unique every time.
