In Calabria, terracotta bowls came first: the everyday ones, for the family table and real cooking. They weren't kept in the good cupboard but always out, always ready. Resistant to heat, daily use and time.
 
 
 
Maurizio still makes them that way: by hand, on a kick wheel, one at a time. The shape is simple because simplicity is enough. The small irregularities of the rim and surface show they were made by hands, not machines.
 
 
 
Use it for everything: pasta, soups, fruit. For bringing food to the table the old way, without ceremony.
