Gratus is born on the hills of Altomonte, in the heart of Calabria, where Magliocco has been grown for generations. Here the Farneto del Principe winery works with respect for nature and tradition, making a wine that brings the authentic character of our land to the glass.
Its colour is an intense ruby red. On the nose it releases aromas of sour cherry, blueberry and ripe red fruit. On the palate it's warm, soft and enveloping, with elegant tannins that accompany each sip without overshadowing its pleasure.
It's one of those wines that invite you to slow down. The ones you open when the table fills with people, carefully made dishes and stories that last until evening.
It doesn't try to impress with special effects. It simply tells Calabria as it is.
Why we chose it
When we tasted Gratus we found what we look for in every product on Braalla: identity.
It isn't a wine built to please everyone. It's an authentic Magliocco, a child of the Altomonte hills and of people who still farm the land with respect and patience.
